Onion tart {without milk}

Tarte à l'oignon {sans lait}

Oui, because in this pie there is still only a kilo of onions and I can tell you that I cried quite a bit when cutting it… and then no trick finds favor in my eyes (that's the case to say !) so if you have the miracle cure… In short, the game is still worth it because this pie is really to die for, the onion is candied as desired and accompanied by a thyme paste with small onions (it's a very safe expression !!!).

SO, who will fill their basket with onions at the next market ?

    My tip for onions is the ski mask ! So of course we don't look like anything for a few minutes, but at least no tears.
    This pie is making me so hungry. My gentleman doesn't like onions so we'll have to wait until he's on the road to please me 🙂 !
    I remember the idea of putting thyme in the dough, I find it really great.

    Thank you for your delicious looking recipe..
    So as not to cry because of the onions, try wearing a snorkel mask. Not very glamorous but effective…

  • Yum that looks delicious !! I'm thinking of replacing the 2 eggs with silken tofu for a vegan pie and I will try it for sure :

    The only thing I know that made me laugh a lot when I saw a friend use it in the kitchen one day but it seems to work : put on a snorkel mask (the snorkel will not be necessary !) while peeling onions. To try !

    Oh but it's the pie you made for your little family when you left for the weekend, no? Anyway, she's very pretty., we are also fans of savory pie, I think we do one a week! Right now, we alternate between fennel, leeks, vegan carrot pie, or onions precisely! I love caramelized onions, then it reminds me of a pie that my mom made and that I loved, with plenty of onions! Finally, generally, the cooking onion reminds me of the dishes of my childhood (we've seen better like madeleine de Proust eh 😉
    Ah and my great tip for cutting onions is : 1- let it be darling (eh eh), et 2- put on swimming goggles! Insane air assured, but guaranteed effectiveness! It also works with the ski mask!

      Oh but I see you are 😉 Yes we are too, it's once a week here and the onion like Proust's madeleine I love (it's better than anchovies) !!! Yes I think I will opt for the option 1 😉

    A tip for the eyes: wear prescription lenses. It's radical (but not possible for everyone…)!
