Carnival donuts – donuts
Cette semaine c’était mardi-gras (quoi vous n’étiez pas au courant ?!) donc pour les retardataires comme moi, voici une recette de beignets de carnaval venue tout droit d’Autriche, j’ai nommé les Krapfen (à mes souhaits !). By us, ce sont plutôt les bugnes que l’on cuisine pour cette occasion mais cette année j’ai craqué pour une recette tout en moeullositée (quoi ? ça n’existe pas moeullositée !!! too bad !), avec de la bonne confiture dedans et du sucre glace dessus…Yes I know, just that !
Come on, on fait péter la friteuse et on fait plaisir aux petits enfants comme aux grands enfants comme nous !!!


Carnival donuts – donuts
Ingredients (for twenty)
- 500 g of flour
- 2 œufs entiers
- 2 egg yolks
- 60 g of butter
- 50 g icing sugar
- 1 cube de levure
- 25 cl of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6 c. to s. de confiture de fruits rouges
- Vegetable oil for frying
Description
Faites tiédir 10 cl of milk then add the yeast in pieces. let stand 10 minutes. Then add 150 g of flour then knead until you obtain a nice dough. Leave to rest covered in a warm place 20 minutes.
Add the whole eggs, the yellows,sugar, the rest of the flour and milk, butter in pieces and salt, then knead the dough to obtain a very smooth dough. let stand 30 minutes under cover.
Degas the dough with your fist, then form around twenty balls. Let the dough rest covered again 45 minutes, they need to double in size.
Heat the oil to 160°.
Fry the donuts so that they take on a nice color on both sides.
Let them cool, make a pre-hole in the side with a nozzle then garnish them with jam using a long nozzle.
Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.

To devour the same day because it’s really better !!!
