Apple tartlets

Apple tartlets
Ingredients (pour 6-8 tartlets)
- 8 apples (ici of canada)
- 20 g cane sugar
- 1 pinch of vanilla powder
- 10 key of water
For the shortcrust pastry
- 150 g whole wheat flour
- 90 g of butter
- 45 g icing sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
Description
To prepare your dough, work the butter and the sugar by hand so that the butter becomes "ointment". Then add the whole egg and work the mixture again. Add the flour and salt all at once and mix until you get a smooth paste.. Form a ball and refrigerate 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 180°.
Meanwhile make the compote, To do this, peel and cut half the apples into pieces and add them with the sugar., vanilla and water in a saucepan. Let it cook 25 minutes over low heat then crush everything or mix. Book.
Roll out the dough on 3-4 mm thick and pour it into tartlet molds. Prick with a fork and spread the compote on top.
Peel and then cut the remaining apples into quarters then into thin slices. Then arrange the apple slices, by layering them on the compote.
Bake 25 min.

17.6.15Hello this is my first visit, and it won't be the last ! Very appetizing !
I'm going to try the recipes now but in vegan mode. (vegetable margarine instead of butter, a banana or a little applesauce instead of the egg…) I don't have a tartlet mold, I'm going to find a trick because it really made me want to ! LOL
Emilie
20.6.15Merci !!! There are quite a few vegan recipes and others to adapt in fact 😉
