Hot chocolate with Christmas spices
Un plaid tout doux, une flambée dans la cheminée et un bon chocolat chaud aux épices… quoi j’ai le droit de rêver un peu, non ! Oui car c’est un peu le genre de scène de film romantique que l’on a tous déjà vu, et c’est un peu l’esprit dans lequel à été bu ce chocolat chaud (bon avec la cheminée en moins et des grosses chaussettes à la place du plaid !!!). Bon, le chocolat chaud c’est aussi le cauchemar des enfants qui viennent d’en boire un après le ski, et qui redescendent en bus juste après… Finally, je crois que ceux qui ont vécus ça me comprendront !!! Anyway, I don't often want hot chocolate but here I had a bag of mini marshmallows in the cupboard begging me to use it, so I broke down ! This version is sugar-free and made with vegetable milk, because around here there is no more cow's milk, but you are free to choose the milk you prefer.
go shoo, we get ready quickly, make a good cup and take the time to settle down (finally only those who have finished their purchases because the others… Good luck !), and enjoy this Christmas atmosphere, yes because then it will be too late.
- 400 ml of vegetable milk of your choice (or cow's milk)
- 70 g dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Des minis marshmallows
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
- 1 teaspoon of orange peel
- 1 cardamom seed
- Heat the milk in a saucepan then add the spices to infuse. Boil the water, turn off the heat and let it infuse 10 minutes under cover.
- Filter the milk then put it back in the saucepan to heat with the chocolate and cocoa. stir with a whisk until boiling.
- Pour into the cups and add the marshmallows.
Good hot chocolate !

18.12.14I have never drunk it… Oui, yes you read correctly ! I never liked milk, therefore I always refused the cup of hot chocolate. But now no more excuses with plant-based milks, which I love by the way !
