Je pense que je ne vous apprends rien, en vous disant que demain c’est la Saint-ValentinDes cœurs, des cœurs et encore des cœurs…and yes, on est un peu fleur bleue par ici pour la Saint-Valentin, et pour la fête des amoureux, on veut du mignon et du gnangnan !!!

J’ai acheté mon « pie mold » aux États-Unis chez William Sonoma, mais je suis sûre que vous pouvez trouver des modèles de moules similaires en France.

Red apple heart pie {Valentine's Day}

Ingredients (pour 8 pies)

  • 8 red-fleshed apples (here some Pink Permain)
  • 50 g cane sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

For the dough

  •  390 g of flour
  • 250 g of butter
  • 50 g cane sugar + 3 c. to s. to sprinkle
  • 8 key of water
  • 1 c. at c. of sel

Description

Make the dough, to do this, put the flour in your food processor, sugar and salt then mix. Then add the cold butter cut into small cubes and the water gradually. Beat until smooth..

Book cool 2 hours.

Prepare the apple stuffing, for that, peel the apples and cut them into quarters. Put them in a saucepan with the sugar and let them compote’ 15 minutes on low heat. Reserve and let cool.

Preheat the oven to 200°.

Spread the dough over approximately 3 mm thick, cut into heart shapes or use a pie mold.

Ajoutez un peu de compote au centre et refermez avec un autre morceaux de pâte en forme de cœur. Soudez bien l’ensemble et disposez les tourtes sur une plaque allant au four.

Dorez le dessus des tourtes avec un œuf battu avec 1 c. at c. water. Saupoudrez ensuite d’un peu de sucre.

Bake 20 min.

    Oh how cute, and it looks super delicious 🙂 The dough looks almost melting in the middle in the photo, with the crunch of sugar : YUM ! Now it seems stupid but I think apple desserts are among my favorites despite their apparent simplicity ! Great idea that the red-fleshed apple in any case !
