Chocolate puff waffle – apple {vegan}

Bon comme d’hab’, the whole family loved this little snack, I would have even made a few more to have some the next morning for breakfast.
Well, I bet there is a good chance that you will treat yourself to this little treat this weekend. (yes I saw you, you who have a puff pastry lying around in the fridge !).

- 2 vegetable puff pastry
- 50 g dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of soy cream
- 3-4 tablespoons of applesauce (here house)
- Icing sugar
- Cut out circles in the puff pastry using a cookie cutter.
- Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave with the soy cream, let cool.
- Garnish the circles with applesauce or chocolate ganache.
- Wet the edges with a little water then close with another circle of puff pastry on top. Press the edges well to seal well.
- Put your waffles in the waffle maker and cook 3-4 minutes depending on your device.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.

21.2.15Bonjour,
These waffles are magnificent and very appetizing, except that…….. they are not VEGAN.
In effect, you use puff pastry which, if it is not made with butter, east with oil. And we all know that commercial ones contain palm oil. And who says palm oil?, said massacre of orangutans and peasants in Latin America for their land. Respect for all living beings and their non-exploitation being the basis of veganism, this recipe is therefore plant-based, but not vegan.

13.3.15Thank you Pauline for your comment. It is true that puff pastry contains palm oil., which from an ethical point of view is not always good. However, many vegans use foods made from palm oil, and I don't think that calls into question their veganism.
