Grenoble : what's new in food ?

I don't often go outside to take the time to find out what's going on, so last September, I took the time to go to the Isère food festival. In the program of new features I have stuck to two concepts which I will tell you about.

The first is Goukitok, a site that allows you to order the finest products from Grenoble merchants online, all delivered to your home the same day by scooter. The principle is great because good products are not what is lacking in Grenoble, but sometimes we don't really have time to do the 4 corners of the city to get them (and I can tell you that as an overwhelmed mother I know this !). In addition at the moment it is the creators (Yvan and Fabienne) who deliver and delivery is free with the code YESG15LF (valid until 15/12/17), the best what !

I'll let you discover them through this interview :

What is Goukitok?

Goukitok, it’s the taste that knocks on your door.

We started from a simple observation: nothing more pleasant than cooking good, fresh produce! But here it is, between professional life and personal life, not always easy to get to your store, his cheese maker, his caterer… Added to the menu ideas puzzle, it's sometimes difficult to maintain a zen attitude in the kitchen.

SO, so we imagined Goukitok, a site where you can find fresh products from excellent Grenoble artisan-merchants at the same price as in stores, as well as recipe ideas.

Brief, what we offer: simplify your life and eat well, healthy and local! We are also convinced that it is an anti-waste response by allowing you to do your shopping regularly and therefore adjust the quantities of fresh products., like our grandparents' generation did, while being closer to his desires.

Who is behind Goukitok??

We are two friends, Fabienne and Yvan.

We love good products and cooking shared meals with family or friends.. Both being parents (in total of 7 children, 3 on one side and 4 on the other!), it was often difficult for us to reconcile everything between professional and personal life and the “Uh, what are we eating tonight? » and the “Oops, the fridge is empty! » have somewhat become the norm in our respective families! Brief, you understand, we quickly became Goukitok’s first customers!

Why this little name?

Quite simply, because he means what we propose: the taste that knocks on your door. It gave rise to some good laughs, the pronunciation is not obvious to everyone. More, we thought it was also a good way to remember it!

Can you tell us what you like best about cooking and why??

I cook to give pleasure. When I prepare a meal, whatever the type of meal, it’s those for whom I cook who inspire me in the choice of the recipe, products, of the presentation. The pleasure is total when my little ones tell me “Dad, you are the best cook in the world” (even if it's just pasta with sauce) or the dish comes back empty.

A culinary anecdote to share with us?

At home, the kitchen is at the center of family life. Children love to cook (good of course, you have to hang on a little for the dishes 😉

One evening, I served them cauliflower gratin. LED, the crestfallen faces of two of my four kids, I took them by surprise by telling them: “it’s a gratin with a lot of love in it! » Magic: everyone loved it! For dessert, one of them, had made crème brulées… which didn’t take… He was very disappointed! The warning shot came from Theo telling him: « normal! You didn't put enough love in it! ». They were still very good !

The second is Yums. It’s the idea that we can bring together those who cook and those who don’t have time to cook but who want to eat good homemade dishes.. I find the concept really good because beyond the fact that it allows you to eat healthily and on a reasonable budget, it also allows you to create social bonds. A platform that, after Grenoble this year, should conquer the rest of France in the coming years, to be continued…

I'll let you discover Miams through a short interview :

Could you describe Miams in a few words?

The idea came from an observation shared by many people : eating a balanced meal, healthy and good at a low cost is difficult, see impossible.

In effect, who has never experienced the following situation : it's time to eat and unfortunately we have to settle for a meal that does not at all correspond to our desires and needs (different “take away” formulas, fast food, sandwicheries, snacking and other junk foods…). Yums solves a real problem for the French, that of always having access to a truly good meal thanks to a diverse offering of dishes prepared by individuals.

Who is behind Yums? ?

At the start there is 3 associates: Catherine, Philippe and Christophe. We are all foodies and we love good food.

Why this little name?

It was my daughter Anouk who found it (she has 14 ans). It's delicious, cheerful and modern !

What is the objective of this collaborative platform??

Miams aims to provide service to its members, Eaters and Cooks. Our primary ambition is to be an alternative to junk food to improve the quality of life of thousands of French people. At the same time, this also allows Cooks to have additional income or save money on their food budget. Everyone wins, each is useful to the other.

Can you tell us what you like best about cooking and why? ?

Personally, my favorite thing is to taste good food. I'm really very greedy!! But since the beginning of this adventure, I started cooking a little and I like more and more to prepare good recipes for others too.

I hope you liked this type of article, if so there may be others…
