Prunes in red wine and spices

Prunes in red wine and spices

Ingredients (pour un gros pot)

  • 500 g de gros pruneaux d’Agen
  • 1 litre 1/2 good red wine
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 scraped vanilla bean
  • 2 large chunks of organic lemon peel

Description

Put all the ingredients in a pot, bring everything to a boil, lower the heat and simmer 35-45 minutes (the syrup should have a good consistency).

Leave to rest overnight in the fridge before enjoying..
