Apple and Walnut Coleslaw

For the sauce, I preferred something lighter than traditional mayonnaise, but you do what you want with it, It’s just an invitation to change. !!!

At your knives !

Apple and Walnut Coleslaw

Ingredients (pour 4)

  • 1/2 white cabbage or 1 petit
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 apples
  • 1 small onion
  • A few walnut kernels
  • The juice of half a lemon

For the sauce

  • 1 Greek yogurt
  • 1 c. to s. almond puree
  • 2 c. at c. mustard
  • 2 c. at c. cider vinegar
  • 1 drizzle of walnut oil
  • Salt and pepper

Description

Slice the cabbage, peeled onion and carrots previously peeled with a knife, a mandolin or a robot. Put everything in a salad bowl.

Cut the apples into thin wedges, lemon them and add them to the vegetables.

Add the walnut kernels.

For the sauce, mix all the ingredients together, pour it over the salad and toss.

Coleslaw à la pomme et aux noix

  • I love coleslaw, I love it when it crunches and I worry about it very often (without mayo too) I add apple too, raisins and grated raw cauliflower. with nuts it must be great too 😉 very nice photos, as a result, This makes me want to do some tonight ;)) biz

A version that I will try with pleasure; the sometimes dripping mayonnaise versions that accompany the burgers are starting to come out of my eyes !

  • I never thought that we ate softer and softer… a quasi-philosophical reflection!

Mmm superbe. It really makes me want ! We wonder if there is a recipe for a good burger that follows ? 😀 (We also put yogurt, well labneh even elsewhere, to lighten everything… Because the mayo in there is actually fat !)

  • Oh yum yum, what a good little salad there is 😉 A great idea, this little vitamin-rich and colorful mixture ^^ well done girls 😉 zoubi

I love coleslaw. But it seems to me that traditionally, it’s not mayonnaise that we put in it, non ?

I remember your seasoning recipe as much lighter than mayo, which spoils this salad a little for my taste ! So it makes me want to make some again with a GOOD cabbage, not too hard as often bought in stores.
