Voici une recette que l’on fait très souvent à la maison et que je ne vous avais jamais transmise : le dahl de lentilles corail. C’est vraiment une recette que les enfants adorent chez nous, du coup j’en profite en hiver pour y ajouter des légumes (vous sentez la mère de famille prête à tout pour faire manger des légumes aux enfants !!!) et là en l’occurrence de la courge butternut, ma courge chouchoue ! Ici on adore manger notre dahl avec des naans, mais je vous avoue que la plupart du temps on l’accompagne d’un bon basmati, it's still much faster to do !

So here is my recipe for a good basic of Indian cuisine, you don't have to put squash in it, you can either put nothing where then replace the squash with another vegetable suitable for the season (no zucchini in winter eh !). Dahl of coral lentils with squash {vegan – sans gluten}

POUR 6 PEOPLE

  • 500 g coral lentils
  • 1 small can of crushed tomatoes (240 g)
  • 1 small butternut squash
  • 1,2 liters of water
  • 200 g plain soy yogurt
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cumin
  • 5 grated cloves
  • 1/2 tablespoon cardamom powder
  • 1 good pinch of chilli
  • you sell
  • neutral vegetable oil
  • Start by peeling the squash then cut it into two centimeter cubes, book.
  • Chop the onion and grate the cloves of garlic and ginger
  • Put a good drizzle of oil in a pan then brown the onion over medium heat, garlic and ginger for 8 minutes.
  • Then add all the spices (coriander, cumin, clove, cardamom, pepper) and let cook 1 minute stirring.
  • Add the squash, the lentils then pour the water over them.
  • Stir then salt and add the crushed tomatoes.
  • Let cook over medium heat 30 minutes, semi-covered, stirring occasionally.
  • When the dahl is cooked, add the yogurt off the heat and stir.
  • Serve with salted yogurt and enjoy with des naans.
