Hot spiced apple juice
Comme pour le vin chaud, hot apple juice also requires very good apple juice, unfiltered and preferably organic, yes we pamper ourselves and we have fun (it also works with a nice hot bath) !
This drink only takes 5 minutes to make and will be perfect in the evening by the fire or in the morning under the tree for opening gifts !
- 1 liter of unfiltered apple juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- The zest of an orange
- 1 vanilla pod
- 8 cardamom seeds
- 2 star anise
- 4 peppercorns
- 1 clove
- Put all the spices except the vanilla in a hot saucepan and let roast 1 minute stirring.
- Sprinkle with the apple juice and add the vanilla pod cut in half and scraped.
- Boil the water 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.

20.12.16What great recipes ! Well done Emilie.
For mulled apple wine, what do you think of opening the cardamom pods to use only the small grains like in Vietnam? ? I'm going to apple country for Christmas and no time to try it before…
Emilie
21.12.16Thank you very much Maryse 😉 We can crush the seeds if we want a more pronounced out of the cardamom, I admit I do it myself because I love it !
Happy Holidays !

20.12.16Yum ! Long live magic potions ! I don't like it when it's too sweet but the sugar in the juice is enough ? Thank you and happy holidays !
Emilie
21.12.16Yes, the sugar in the apple juice is more than enough and the spices complete it all. ! Happy holidays to you too 😉
