Brown rice with Brussels sprouts and lentil sauce {vegan – sans gluten}

Les légumes rôtis c’est la vie (rime du jour bonjour !) ! Et ce que je préfère par dessus tout ce sont les choux de Bruxelles rôtis, avec la patate douce, le chou fleurs et les oignons aussi… bref je n’arrive pas à me décider mais c’est pas grave comme dirait Mini-Mademoiselle. On croyait tous le printemps arriver avec ces belles journées chaudes, du coup on avait tous envies de fraicheur et de salade mais bam le froid est revenu et on ne jure plus que par de petits plats chauds ! Voici donc pour se remonter un peu le moral, even if I am aware that Brussels sprouts do not make everyone dream, a little recipe for brown rice with Brussels sprouts. What changes everything is the little lentil sauce that goes with it., you will see it’s just terrible (I mean terrible, super good not terrible like a child 3 ans !!!) and it's full of good things.
For the weekend I'm preparing a very regressive little recipe for you to dip in chocolate, like that there, I sell you more of the dream than my Brussels sprouts eh ?!


- 200 g of whole rice (here rice mixture)
- 500 g Brussels sprouts
- 1 large onion
- 1 tablespoon of zaatar
- You sell
- 1 drizzle of olive oil
- FOR THE LENTIL SAUCE
- 150 g cooked green lentils
- The juice of a lemon
- 1 drizzle of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of tahini
- You sell
- 1 pinch of Espelette pepper
- water (if necessary)
- Start with Brussels sprouts. Remove damaged leaves, cut them in half and blanch them in boiling salted water 3 minutes. Drain well and place on a baking tray..
- Slice the onion into quarters and add it to the Brussels sprouts then season with the zaatar, olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- Bake 15 minutes at 200°.
- Cook the rice as directed on the packet, drain and reserve.
- For the sauce put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth., add a little water if necessary.
- Serve the rice with the roasted Brussels sprouts and the sauce on top.
