Mogette salad from Vendée with tomato and basil
This year I have already cooked you a Paimpol coconut salad and last year (time flies), I offered you a borlotti bean salad a little different but also with southern accents.
All with beans !
Mogette salad from Vendée with tomato and basil
Ingredients (pour 4 people)
- 750 g of Vendée mogettes (shelled weight)
- 300 g of tomatoes (here cherry tomatoes)
- 1/2 bunch of basil
- 1 filet d’huile d’olive
- The juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper
Description
Shell the beans and cook them in salted boiling water for about 30 minutes (taste to see if the consistency is good because the cooking time can vary). Drain them and let them cool..
Wash and cut the tomatoes into quarters.
Finely chop the basil.
Then mix the beans, tomatoes and basil then season. Add a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice, mix and it's ready.

6.10.13I tasted these mogettes ago 3 years in Vendée and it's really very good. They were hot and served with a big slice of grilled ham.
This equally well-featured salad looks just as good!
See you soon
